What fitness options are available at Coffs Coast Nutrition?

  • Our specialty is one-on-one personal training, either in the privacy of our studio gym or outdoors. 
  • We offer 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions.
  • Various options (eg casual or pay-as-you-go or packages of 10-20 or a combined nutrition and PT package). There are no joining fees.
  • Open 7 days per week (bookings essential)

We have implemented strict hygiene standards with both our staff and clients. Please read the sign on our door before entering and follow all instructions. If you or a family member are unwell or if you have been in contact with someone who may have COVID within the last two weeks you MUST reschedule your appointment.  

Col is a Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor with Cert 111 and 1V in Fitness as well as additional AlterG certification. He has also completed a Level 1 Triathlon Coaching Course and is registered with AUSactive.

Col has completed The Biomechanics Method Corrective Exercise Trainer certification course which is regarded as the premier step-by-step corrective exercise education program for personal trainers. This course is designed to teach personal trainers how to effectively work with people who have musculoskeletal imbalances and associated muscle and joint pain. This revolutionary approach to musculoskeletal pain relief incorporates structural assessments, corrective exercise techniques and life coaching strategies into a system that makes improved function and pain-free living a reality for people plagued by poor musculoskeletal health. The course is recognized and accredited internationally by the world’s largest and most respected fitness organisations. Col will also liaise with your current medical practitioner, physiotherapist and/or exercise physiologist to ensure that you achieve the best possible outcome.

Col has also completed the Revolution Running course which includes study in the following:

  • Running workouts – training programs from 5k up to marathon
  • Running for weight loss

  • Running coaching

Col has competed in triathlons for some years, in distances ranging from sprint to Ironman. He has also participated in adventure racing, fun runs, marathons, mountain bike riding and rogaining. Col enjoys helping people of varying abilities and fitness levels and has a great way of enabling them enjoy exercise and get the most out of each session without feeling intimidated or judged.   

Louise has personal training qualifications – Cert 111 and 1V in Fitness. She has completed a Level 1 Triathlon Training Coaching Course and Level 2 Coaching Principles Course through the NSW Academy of Sport. Prior to injury, Louise successfully competed in triathlons for a number of years. She has a Master of Science degree and is the most experienced Accredited Sports Dietitian in the Coffs Harbour area (having studied sports nutrition with Dr Louise Burke from the Australian Institute of Sport).

AlterG anti-gravity treadmill 

Coffs Coast Nutrition has the only AlterG treadmill between Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast. This revolutionary medical rehabilitation treadmill, which is NOT in any way similar to a typical treadmill. The AlterG uses differential air pressure technology developed by NASA to enable the user to walk or run pain-free at anywhere between 20-100% of their body weight. This is something that no other exercise or rehabilitation equipment can do. Our exercise professional has clinical AlterG certification regarding orthopaedic, weight loss, neurologic, geriatric and bionic leg populations, in addition to Cert 111 and 1V in Fitness. For more information check out the videos on the AlterG section of our website.

The AlterG can be utilized by both athletes and non-athletes:

  • Athletes – recovery from injury or surgery, as well as improvement of cardiovascular fitness and sporting performance when not injured.
  • Rehabilitation – arthritis, lower back pain, foot and ankle pain, shin pain, thigh pain, hip pain, arthritis, recovery from surgery, neuromuscular and proprioceptive re-training for neurological conditions such as stroke and Parkinson’s.
